Orange is the New Black Season 2 dropped on Friday, June 6 but very few episodes actually featured Prepon, who plays Alex Vause. Squashing rumors that she might be done with the show, Prepon revealed on The Today Show Tuesday that she would be returning as a series regular in Season 3.

"Yes, definitely, and I'm really excited because I missed everybody so much during season 2," Prepon revealed when asked if she would be appearing in every episode of Season 3. "But yeah, we started shooting yesterday, and it's awesome so I can't wait to get back to work."

The reason for Prepon's decreased prominence in Season 2 was not due to the actress wanting to leave the show. She said that her dropping down to guest-starring status was due to scheduling conflicts with another project.

She explained: "But I love the show and I love my character, and I told [showrunner] Jenji [Kohan] from the get-go, 'I want to be in as many as I can.' So we did, and I'll be in four episodes for season 2. And then if we get a season 3, I'll be in every episode. I totally missed the show."

Orange is the New Black Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Netflix. Season 3 does not have a known release date yet.
