What Can Fans Expect From Season 12 of NCIS
The CBS show has been the top show in the U.S. for the last five years and now it has become the most-watched drama worldwide. An estimated 57.6 million people tuned in to watch NCIS in 2013.
For its success, the show received the International Television Audience Award for a Drama TV Series at the 54th Monte-Carlo Television Festival on Wednesday in Monaco. The festival distributed awards to the highest-rated drama, comedy and soap opera of 2013.

"As NCIS enters its 12th season, we couldn't be happier to learn we're now the #1 drama in the world. It's no secret that determination and teamwork have allowed our cast and crew to continue to deliver a show we're truly proud of," actor Mark Harmon and executive producer Gary Glasberg said in a joint statement.
"We also know we wouldn't be here without the support and loyalty of the best fans in television. Thanks to our worldwide audience for helping us start the new season off right."
NCIS debuted in 2003 and will air its next season in the fall. Along with Harmon, the series also stars Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette, David McCallum, Sean Murray and Rocky Carroll.
And, the fans aren't the only ones who love the show. "I'm so watching #NCIS rerun right now and am so excited about season 12," Perrette tweeted on June 10. "I love my job."
