Chmerkovskiy won the most recent season of Dancing With the Stars with his celebrity partner Meryl Davis, his first victory in his 13 seasons competing on the show. It was noticed by several viewers that he had a definite chemistry with Davis, leading to some speculation that they may be dating away from the dance floor.
Chmerkovskiy and Davis have claimed that they are just friends, but the Argentinian-born dancer is now saying that he wants her to be the last person he dances with on the show.

"I want Meryl to be the last person I dance with," he told Social Life, via Us Weekly, "the last person I got to be passionate with and care so much for."
While he did not outright say that he is done with Dancing With the Stars, his statement certainly suggests that he is ready to retire from the long running dance competition.
He also elaborated on the concept of "showmances" and his various relationships with his past partners.
"Do you know what a showmance is? It is like being at a summer camp when you're a teenager," he explained. "You spend summertime away from your home. When you spend three months very closely with someone at a particular place, it is like a summer love. You have no choice but to get involved with that person."
He said that he is still close with a few of his former partners, such as Erin Andrews, Mel B and Kirstie Alley.
"Three months is a long time, and if I am going to give someone that much of my time, I am going to develop a relationship with that person."
With or without Chmerkovskiy, Dancing With the Stars Season 19 premieres in the fall on ABC, though the network has not announced an official premiere date. It will be returning to its regular Mondays at 8 p.m. timeslot, and will likely return in mid-September.
