House majority leader Eric Cantor may see himself going from the drama of the White House to the drama of the dance floor if one petition-maker gets her way.

A new petition has been published on change.org suggesting that the producers of Dancing With the Stars cast Cantor for their upcoming season. The petition was started by Sara Benicasa, a website editor from Los Angeles who thinks Cantor would be a good fit for DWTS.
"If Tom DeLay can do it, Eric Cantor can freaking rock this show," Benincasa writes in the petition. The editor of Happy Nice Time People says that Cantor is "very handsome" and thinks he would do well in the competition.
Soccer Pro Landon Donovan Slated To Compete In Dancing With the Stars?
"I can find a conservative man attractive. I've always had a crush on Eric Cantor," she says. "I feel he carries himself with such confidence. I can really see him on the dance floor."
She also writes, "He's got some time on his hands, and this is a way better use of time than becoming some lobbyist."
Cantor is set to be the House majority leader until July 31.
The petition currently has 102 signatures and needs over 99,000 more, so there is still a long way to go for Benicasa.
As Benicasa notes, former House majority leader DeLay appeared on Dancing With the Stars in Season 9. While he made it to Week 3 of the competition, he ultimately had to withdraw due to a stress fracture in his foot.
Dancing With the Stars Season 19 premieres in fall 2014 on ABC, though the network has not yet announced a specific air date. It will be returning to its regular Mondays at 8 p.m. timeslot.
