Under the Dome star Mike Vogel recently spoke about the deadly Season 2 premiere of the series and what was ahead for his character Barbie.

Vogel's Barbie was one of the fortunate ones to have survived the Season 2 premiere, but some of his co-stars weren't so lucky. The premiere featured the death of Linda (Natalie Martinez) and Angie (Britt Robertson).

"We had just lost a couple of cast members and then [executive producer Neal Baer] called me and said, 'So, hey, for the finale, this is going to happen and this is going to happen and then we hang you,' " Vogel told Bucks County Courier Times. "I sat there in silence - I was about ready to cry. As actors, we're all paranoid, crazy, insane people. You start thinking, 'I've got this long to find a job, time to start looking again.' But Neal was just having some fun with me."

Vogel explained that Season 2 would be different from the first season in how it would delve into the mythology of the dome.

"Last season was a lot more about us dealing with this dome that just came down around us," Vogel said. "This season shows us dealing with the mythology of it, the otherworldly aspects. There will be a lot of information, a lot more questions being answered, and a lot more popping up."

He also previewed that Barbie's relationship with Julia (Rachelle Lefevre) would be "tested" in Season 2 in addition to him having a new rival in Sam (Eddie Cahill).

"My relationship with [Julia] gets tested, but the interaction between Eddie and I turns into something much deeper than a catfight over a girl," he said.

Under the Dome Season 2 airs Monday at 10 p.m. on CBS.
