Tim Howard Reportedly Wanted By Dancing With the Stars After World Cup Success
Hough spoke with Parade about things being relatively up in the air regarding his status as a dancer on the show in the fall season.
"I don't know yet," Hough admitted. "There are a lot of changes happening right now. I'll always be a part of Dancing With the Stars, they're my family and I love working with them and being part of a show that is so positive. We got a new executive producer, so new things are happening and we'll see what happens! I love being a part of it."
Maksim Chmerkovskiy Quitting Dancing With the Stars As A Dancer
Asked if there was any behind-the-scenes dirt that viewers don't see, Hough was quick to point out that there isn't anything too crazy.
"I don't know, there's not like a lot of dirt or anything crazy that I know people want to know. I wish I had something to say like 'what you don't know is...' Honestly, what you don't see is a lot of the humor. You see some of the drama, but we really have a great time, we're totally inappropriate-there you go! Because we become so familiar with each other and we're so like family, it just gets really inappropriate and crazy backstage and in rehearsals. It's a lot of fun."
Hough competed with his celebrity partner Amy Purdy in Season 18, coming in second place to Meryl Davis and Maks Chmerkovskiy. Before the spring season, Hough was paired with Kellie Pickler in Season 16 and Amber Riley in Season 17, winning both seasons. He is the all-time most successful dancer on the show, winning five out of 18 seasons.
Dancing With the Stars Season 19 debuts in the fall on ABC, though the network has not yet announced a specific air date. It will be returning to its regular Mondays at 8 p.m. timeslot.
