The teaser was released via Entertainment Weekly and features Jax (Charlie Hunnam) riding on his motorcycle in the middle of the night with a serious look on his face. As the camera zooms in on him, a skull flashes on his face as he continues riding.
This may suggest that Jax may die by the end of the series, or it could be a tease that he will be getting himself into some life-threatening situations in the final season.

Meanwhile, fans hoping for a specific release date are still left in the dark. When the trailer flashes the Sons of Anarchy logo, the only information on a release date is "Fall."
While Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter has revealed few details about the final season, he has announced some character tidbits. For one, memorable recurring character Venus Van Dam (Walton Goggins), the transgendered escort, will be in the final season.
Additionally, Sutter recently announced that Chibs (Tommy Flanagan) will be "semi-naked" in the new season.
