'The Bachelorette' 2012: Emily Was Not The One For Me: Sean Says
"The Bachelorette" contestant Sean Lowe says Emily Maynard was not the "one" for him.
Sean opened up about his current feelings for Emily during a photo call with reporters following his exit from the show.
"I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Emily; she's a fantastic girl. But, I've come to realize she's not the one for me," Sean told reporters this week. "The woman I'm suppose to spend the rest of my life with will have no doubts that she wants to be with me," he continued. "And Emily had doubts, and I don't fault her for those at all, but, you know, she's just not the one for me. And I'm OK with that."
Sean was one of the audience's favorite bachelors in the hit dating competition. Many hoped Emily will marry him but she surprised many fans of the show when she kicked him out on Monday's episode.
Emily said the reason why she sent him home was because she always felt "a wall" between them and for how he handled his previous relationship.
"The fact that he was with someone for three years, but still dodged the marriage conversation, made me worry," Maynard wrote on her blog Tuesday.
Currently there only remain two guys in the competition, race car driver Arie and entrepreneur Jef.
"Now that we've had some time and distance, I think that she ultimately made the right decision, and she's not the one that I'm not supposed to be with for the rest of my life. So, in a way I'm thankful that it ended where it did for me, and I think she made the right decision," Sean told reporters.
Many viewers hoped for him to become the next Bachelor. Sean is not interested in appearing on TV again.
"I have no desire to be on TV," he said. "I had a great time doing The Bachelorette, and I'm happy living my normal life, going to work every day - no complaints there. "
But when he was asked in particular, if he ever considered being the "Bachelor" he said:
"It's just a little difficult to think about right now. So, I'm not sure, but they would have to ask first. So, I don't even know if I'm going to have to make that decision."
In the photo call Sean also discussed the two remaining bachelors Arie and Jef, the reason why he joined the show and the friendships he made there. Read the full transcript here.
