Fans Still Outraged Over Michael Muhney Incident
"Just got an official call, although things got very close, I will not be returning to Y&R. That part of my life is over. Moving on...," he wrote on Twitter on Wednesday. "I was hopeful for a return, but now I'm hopeful for the future. Now you'll just have to promise to tune in to my future projects! #lovexo."
He also quoted Dr. Seuss: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
First Look At Shemar Moore Back On Y&R Set
Fans were quick to show their support for the actor on the social networking site.
Muhney, who played Adam Newman since 2009, was reportedly fired from the series in December after he allegedly groped his co-star, Hunter King. However, the 39-year-old bashed the allegation on Wednesday after a fan asked about its accuracy. "Yes. It was only a salacious rumor," Muhney responded.
His character was involved in a massive car accident in an episode which aired in December. Adam was thought to be dead until it was discovered that a homeless witness saw him flee from the car crash, in which Billy Abbott also escaped.
Does this mean executives will really look for a replacement for Muhney as initial rumors stated?
