The first look of Geena Davis as a Grey's Anatomy surgeon was revealed!

Katherine Heigl Opens Up About Real Reason She Left Grey's Anatomy

In one photo, posted by The Hollywood Reporter on Monday, the Oscar winner, 58, appears in her scrubs with her arms folded across her chest. Davis, who starred in 1991's Thelma and Louise, will make her first of several appearances during the season 11 premiere. The episode is titled after the Elton John song I Must Have Lost It On The Wind.

"Geena Davis is scrubbing in at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital this fall!" the show's Twitter page teased on Aug. 8.

In the second photo, her character is seen speaking to Callie and Arizona, who both appear very attentive. And, in the last still, she stands between the couple as all three women pose for the camera. These photos hint that Davis' character will have major interaction with Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw).

Showrunner Shonda Rhimes previously revealed to the publication that the upcoming season will focus on the Callie and Arizona's relationship and their decision to have children.

"It's going to be revealed very quickly that it is a Band-Aid," she said. "It's going to open up the opportunity for them to finally explore everything that's wrong and whether or not they should be together at all or whether or not they want to be together at all. Their entire relationship, by the way, has been a series of Band-Aids. It's heartbreaking and it's beautiful and it's either you choose to fix all the Band-Aids that are wrong and be together or you move on. But it's a choice of commitment and we're going to watch them explore that stuff."

Season 11 of Grey's Anatomy premieres on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 8/7c on ABC.
