Colombian singer Juanes said he was happy for Shakira's pregnancy, fueling rumors that the singer is expecting her first baby.

The Grammy-award winner singer allegedly told Spanish TV show Estrella TV, that this will change Shakira's perspective of the world.

"I am so happy for her," Juanes told Estrella TV on August 1. "Children are a blessing and I think this will change the way she sees things.[She] will learn that true love is the way children love."

Although the TV show edited the interview and did not show the exact question asked by the reporter to Juanes, the rock star's comments added fuel to rumors that Shakira is expecting a baby with her soccer star boyfriend Gerard Pique.

The couple reportedly visited a maternity clinic in Miami, Florida, according to pictures obtained by Mexican tabloid TV Notas and published on July 30.

The tabloid alleges that the couple will announce Shakira's pregnancy soon.

Earlier, Hispanic TV network Univision posted a photo which it said showed what could be a pregnant Shakira.

But so far the singer has not addressed the rumors yet.

Colombian magazine "Gente" featured a cover story on its June issue claiming Shakira is six weeks into her pregnancy.

"The baby is due in early 2013. The couple found out the news while they were in Ibiza. So far there are no plans for a wedding," the magazine claims.

"Everything was planned. The baby will be born at the beginning of next year. This would be the first priority for the singer. At 35 years old, she thought she was missing the time to become a mom," the magazine says.

Her father seemed to confirm the pregnancy in an interview with Colombian TV show "La Otra Vision" (The Other Vision) in late June, but he retracted.
