Lolo Jones Olympics 2012; 100M Hurdles Semi-Final & Final LIVE STREAM at 2:15PM & 4:00PM EST
US hurdler, Lolo Jones advanced to the Olympics 2012 semi-final of the 100-Meter Hurdles race on Monday. The star Olympian came in second place in the round 1 heats with a time of 12.68 seconds. A live stream of the semi-final event can be seen at 2:15PM and the final at 4:00PM EST today at the link below.
Lolo Jones is returning to the Women's 100M Hurdlers event after a disappointing lost during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The star was leading for most of the race before she clipped a hurdle that slowed her down to taking seventh place.
"It was like racing a car at max velocity. When you hit a curve, you either maintain control or you crash and burn," Jones said after the race in 2008. "Today, I crashed and burned. I'm shocked and sad. But I'm happy for the girls."
Jones faces stiff competition from the likes of Dawn Harper, Nevin Yanit and Alina Talay. However, many expect that Jones will at least take silver during the 100M Hurdles final.
Jones admits it is difficult to remain positive throughout the tense games she races at the Olympics. After the 100M heat, she said: "It's hard to be positive all the time with people doubting your abilities."
However, Jones, a Christian, has held on to her faith in order to keep her focused and remain with high spirits. It was reported that the runner said: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," just before the race. Later, a fan confirmed via Twitter on Jone's page.
"Read LoloJones' lips pre-race: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. #faith." The quote is from Philippians 4:13, a Biblical passage.
