Josh Henderson Clears Up Rumors About Dallas
On Oct. 29, Emma Bell, who played Emma Brown, also tweeted, "Missing my @Dallas_TNT crew and my mother @Brenda_Strong!"
TNT announced the show's cancellation after three seasons on Oct. 3. The reboot of the original Dallas, which aired from 1978 to 1991, kicked off in 2012 with 7 million viewers. However, the season 3 finale on Sept. 22 brought in a mere 1.7 million viewers. It's assumed that the switch from summer to fall for season two caused the decrease, despite the return to the summer for the last season.
Devoted fans quickly started a petition to save the show and are still tweeting "#SaveDallas." Josh Henderson, who played lead actor John Ross Ewing, first addressed the cancellation of Dallas via YouTube and expressed a great deal of gratitude to these loyal fans.
"I haven't put out a tweet or anything saying anything about the show yet because I felt like you guys deserve more than that, you do. You guys are the best fans ever," he said. "I didn't expect the show to be done. I was excited to continue on this story and to continue bringing you John Ross and working with this great cast and doing a show that I'm very proud of."
