Clearly outmatched against the all-star squad they call Team USA, Australia indeed has their work cut out against them in their matchup on Wednesday with the basketball super power.

With Australia possessing a talent pool not even half comparable to that of Team USA's, the game is slated to be a 20 to 40 point blowout, according to Bleacher Report.

The Aussies most valuable player thus far has been Parick Mills, who usually serves as a backup player for the San Antonio Spurs of the N.B.A. Mills has been on a tear, which recently included a 39-point performance against the now 0-4 Great Britain.

The Australians are at a respectable 3-2 in the win-loss column. However, they do not even come close to stacking up against the likes of Chris Paul and LeBron James, amongst others. The all-star combo is coming off a collective performance of 12 assists alongside a 22-point showcase by the hot shooting Kevin Durant against Argentina on Monday.

The one player who could have stirred some form of competition against the mega-stars is the injured center Andrew Bogut, who could have aided the Australian's in the size department; which they are severally lacking against America's big men.

If the Aussie's want to stand any chance at all of winning, then they must expose Team USA's struggling defense, but this will be no easy task.

Team USA will face off against Australia on Wednesday, August 8th at 5:15 PM EST.
