Hagar also told 105.5 that he enjoyed being a part of the show because it gives him a chance to explore a different side of hime. He said he liked getting to "overdo it" because if he did that around the house he would get criticism from his kids.
"It's really nice to overdo it and get away with it," he told 105.5.
Hagar also enjoyed the experience of getting to do voiceovers. Though he said the only way he could relate to his character was by the tennis shoes and "Hawaiian lifestyle look" he had, he may want to do more voiceover work in the future.
"I told the guys after I did it...I said, 'Hey man, invent a permanent Simpson character for me and I'll do it.'...I'm telling you, it was really, really fun," he said.
In addittion to try more voiceover work, he is open to doing more things in the future that he hasn't done before. One of those things may be acting in film.
"I'd love to have a bit part in a movie," he said. "I'm tired of being Sammy..."
