Oprah most certainly did not shy away from the topic of Chris Brown in her most recent interview with singer Rihanna.

In the promotional clips for their new interview, Rihanna, 24, is seen crying when Oprah brings up the "Umbrella" singer's 2009 physical assault incident with Chris Brown. When asked by the television host about her relationship with Brown, Rihanna responded by saying, "It was embarrassing. It was humiliating. I lost my best friend. I was resentful. I held a grudge. I was dark."

The episode airs Sunday, Aug. 19 at 9 p.m. on OWN!

In another promo clip with a lighter mood, Oprah and Rihanna are shown having fun together while driving around and talking about her native home of Barbados.

The TV host said that she expected Rihanna to be "an edgy 'badass'" but after speaking with her in-depth, she was surprised to learn that the artist "defied all her expectations," according to The Huffington Post.

Recent circulation has stirred when eyewitnesses saw Rihanna and Brown spending time together while they were both vacationing in Europe. Reports claimed that the two spent alone time together going to restaurants and that Brown was even seen going to Rihanna's private yacht alone in the evening.

The two have been able to keep a professional relationship in order though. They collaborated on two remixes, one for Brown's "Turn Up the Music" and another for her "Birthday Cake" single.
