Robert Pattinson was not seen much in public after the news broke over all media wires that his longtime girlfriend Kristen Stewart was cheating on him.

However, on Aug. 13 he returns in front of the camera for a guest appearance on "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart, according to The Associated Press. It will mark Pattinson's first interview since Stewart confessed to cheating on Pattinson with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.

Pattinson, 26, has a new film to promote - "Cosmpolis" coming out on Aug. 17 - and his appearance on Stewart's show will hopefully help shift the attention to his new starring role and away from his personal life.

Pattinson's "Daily Show" interview, airing at 11 p.m. Eastern Time, will not focus on the cheating scandal involving Stewart, according to The Huffington Post. A television insider told the publication that the interview will primarily focus on promoting "Cosmopolis" and though a question or two might come up about the scandal, Pattinson will be ready with a prepared answer and he will then shift the conversation toward talking about his movie.

The AP also reported that celebrities must make a very calculated decision about where and when to debut their "comeback" after any kind of scandal, both personal and professional.

"There's no one show that's the right answer for everyone," said former publicist Howard Bragman. "The right answer is the one where you think you're going to get the most respect, the fairest hearing and the best presentation - and potentially where you've had the best relationships in the past. For some people, it's Oprah. For others, it's Good Morning America."

Pattinson will be on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday.
