Miley Cyrus: "Two and a Half Men" Guest Role Booked After New Hair Cut
Just one day after a dramatic new haircut left her locks short and peroxide blonde, Miley Cyrus has signed on for a recurring guest stint on the CBS hit "Two and a Half Men."
In her first television role since "Hannah Montana" left the airwaves in 2011, Cyrus will join "Men" as a love interest for Jake Harper, played by Angus T. Jones, E! Online reports.
But as is usually the case with tabloid target Cyrus, there will be drama in the air: Ashton Kutcher's character Walden Schmidt also has eyes for the new girl in town.
Cyrus will make her debut on the show sometime this fall, following the tenth season premiere set for Sept. 27.
Though ratings for "Men" have slumped in recent seasons, the show remains among the most viewed on television. The series spiked in buzz last year when Kutcher came onboard following the very public exit of former star Charlie Sheen. The media firestorm surrounding Kutcher's role made the show the 11th most popular on broadcast TV for the 2011-12 season.
No further details about Cyrus' role have been released, including whether she'll be sporting the edgy blonde hairstyle she debuted on Twitter over the weekend.
In the meantine, Cyrus can be seen on the cover of this month's issue of Marie Claire, where she dishes on her engagement with "Hunger Games" actor Liam Hemsworth. The proposal - complete with a 3.5-carat diamond ring - came in May, but don't expect the couple to get hitched anytime soon.
"I don't really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we've made to each other. And we want to have a long engagement," Cyrus told the magazine.
Her appearance on "Two and a Half Men" is sure to thicken both her press clippings and her bank account - not that she needs it. Marie Claire reports Cyrus took home a cool $48 million last year.
