Robert Pattinson Set for Live MTV Interview on Thursday for 'Cosmopolis'
Robert Pattinson will appear in a live interview with MTV on Thursday.
The "Twilight" star has added the Music Television Network to his series of scheduled sit-downs to promote his new indie film, "Cosmopolis."
MTV made the announcement on their website today about the guest stint titled "MTV First: Robert Pattinson."
"Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 16, when Pattinson will premiere a new clip from his upcoming and buzz worthy film "Cosmopolis" on MTV at 7: 49 p.m. ET," states the website.
Following the viewing of the clip, Pattinson will chat with MTV News' Josh Horowitz for a 30-minute interview, the website added.
MTV will accept questions for Pattinson from fans beginning today through MTV.com or via Twitter using @MTVNews and the hash-tag #AskRob.
The MTV stint follows a list of other interviews scheduled for Pattinson this week. The British actor will tape the "Daily Show with Jon Stewart" at 6pm today and attend his red carpet premiere immediately after. The episode will air tonight at 11pm on Comedy Central. Tomorrow he will attend a press conference and accept questions from reporters. Pattinson will appear on "Good Morning America" for his first live interview on Wednesday morning, the day before his MTV interview.
Pattinson will not discuss his recent breakup with Kristen Stewart, according to Huffington Post. The "GMA" and "Daily Show" interviews were scheduled in advance.
A source told the website that "it has been made clear to producers at 'The Daily Show' and 'Good Morning America,' where Rob will appear Wednesday, that the interview is to promote his new movie 'Cosmopolis.'"
"He knows he's going to get asked the question and will have a prepared answer for it, then after that he will move on to talking about his film," added another source. "You have to remember it's an interview, not an interrogation. Both shows are total pros and will handle the situation with class, and in Jon's case, a little humor."
"Cosmopolis" is a thriller directed by David Cronenberg and will arrive in theaters on Friday.
