Mariah Carey Baby Photos: American Idol Judge Shares New Pics of Twins
Mariah Carey posted pictures of herself hanging out with her adorable 1-year-old twins.
"Me & Roc Starr taking a lil nap: )," she captioned with the image of her lying next to her son sleeping while sporting a yellow polo shirt with white linen pants.
She later posted a photo of her daughter Monroe, Morocco's twin sister.
"As per your request, me & ms. Monroe on a lazy day: )"
Carey, 42, is lying at the pool while her daughter is sitting in a baby float in the photo. The "We Belong Together" singer is sporting a straw beach hat with a white coverup over her two-piece bikini.
Mariah gave birth to her twins Morocco Scott Cannon and Monroe Cannon on April 30, 2011. She often refers to them on Twitter as "Roc and Roe."
Carey married Nick Cannon in 2008 after six weeks of dating, and the couple has renewed their vows every year since.
Cannon hosts the "America's Got Talent," and is an executive for Teen Nick.
Mariah joined "American Idol" last month to be a judge on the show. The award-winning singer replaced Jennifer Lopez who judged the previous two seasons.
"I am so excited to be joining 'Idol'," Mariah told reporters. "First of all, I wanted to be there today, I wish I could have been there myself to tell you, but this all just happened a little quickly. I can't wait to get started in a couple of months! I will see you in January!" Season 12 of "American Idol" will air in January, 2013.
"We are proud to have one of the world's greatest-ever female singers join our show," said "American Idol" creator and executive producer Simon Fuller, according to the show's official website. "Mariah defines the word 'Idol' and will inspire every singer that has the honor of performing in front of her."
FOX is now focused on its search for another male judge. Former "American Idol" contestant Adam Lambert is reportedly being considered for the job.
Mariah Carey is more than qualified for the position. Carey has had more number 1 hits on Billboard charts than any other recording artist in history (18.) She is also a songwriter who is credited for writing 17 of those hits. She has won 5 Grammys and sold more than 200 million records worldwide.
