Charlie Sheen's Twitter Return: "Anger Management" Actor Going Back On His Decision To Stop Tweeting?
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, but Charlie Sheen didn't test that idea for long.
Just a few weeks after the "Anger Management" star appeared to say goodbye to Twitter for good, his account went active again Tuesday.
Sheen seemingly left the building July 13 when he tweeted: "reach for the stars everyone. dogspeed cadre. C out," along with a photo of white clouds from the cockpit of a plane. At the time, E! News reported a source saying the erratic actor was done with the social networking site that facilitated many of his public outbursts.
By Sheen returned to Twitterdom on Tuesday to tease the latest episode of his new FX comedy, "Anger Management."
"It's on! My pop guest stars Thursday on Anger Management. Watch my dad show up as my dad 9:30p on FX. Best yet!!" Sheen wrote.
Sheen's "pop" is none other than actor Martin Sheen, star of "The West Wing" and "Apocalypse Now," who is also father to Sheen's actor brother Emilio Estevez.
Upon the announcement of Sheen's new series, "Anger Management," critics were doubtful, citing Sheen's destructive behavior, drug use and tumultuous exit from the CBS hit "Two and a Half Men" as reasons the actor could fail in his new venture.
But so far the series has been, to quote Sheen, "winning!" Its June 2012 premiere smashed records with nearly 6 million viewers, making it the most-watched sitcom premiere on cable history.
It's not yet clear whether Sheen's Twitter account is back in full swing or whether he's just using it for promotional purposes, but surely there are a few gems left in the man who said, ""I am on a drug, it's called Charlie Sheen. It's not available because if you try it you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body."
