The actor, who plays Timothy McGee on the hit CBS show, revealed that fans will see some “pretty surprising” moments in January. One of those surprises may include his character’s love interest, Delilah (Margo Harshman), who just might pop up again.
"Last we left they had a long distance relationship and she was in Dubai," he told Zap2it in a new interview. "We haven't seen her this year but I think we're going to see her, which is - for me and for the for the character - a good thing. I think people like to see McGee and Delilah together too and it's fun to do.”
Watch a Sneak Peek of Jeri Ryan As Rebecca
Of course, Gibbs’ second ex-wife Rebecca is also set to appear in January with actress Jeri Ryan playing the never-before-seen character.
"That's not necessarily what I'm talking about as far as the surprises and the twists, but there's some pretty surprising stuff that comes up and I'll definitely be looking to see the reaction to that one,” Murray said about Ryan’s appearance.
As for his own character, Murray hinted that fans may discover some new information about him as well.
“One of the fun things about McGee is you always learn something new about him that's sort of strange that could be out of character for him," he said. "He comes across as a straitlaced guy at first."
NCIS returns to CBS on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. ET.
