Emily Maynard and Jef Holm 'In Denial Mode Because They're Embarrassed' of Cheating Rumor?
It seems no matter how much "The Bachelorette" couple Jef Holm and Emily Maynard deny cheating accusations, the rumors just keep on coming. First, they had to fend off allegations from Holm's brother, Mike. Now they'll have to defend their relationship against claims made by someone in their inner circle.
A source close to Holm and Maynard told Wetpaint Entertainment things between the Bachelorette couple have been so tumultuous since the finale taping, the couple has come close to calling it quits.
"Jef has been complaining that they have nothing in common," the source told Wetpaint Entertainment. "He even says they've already come close to breaking up once since the finale."
According to the source, Maynard has "sounded frustrated." "She says Jef doesn't like to do anything. She says she thinks he's boring. It's funny, because he says the same thing about her. He's been telling people, 'I know she has a kid and everything, but she never wants to go out.'"
Maynard has told friends, Holm should appreciate that she even picked him. "I heard her say, 'I made him famous.'"
Although Maynard and Holm told People magazine their relationship is as good as its ever been, the source said this is not the case. "Right now, I think they're in denial mode because they're embarrassed. But I don't know if they'll be able to recover from this."
Us Weekly reported that over the Aug. 18 weekend, Holm took Maynard's phone and discovered she had been having an affair with another man. The scene allegedly took place in Myrtle Beach, S.C., where the couple and Maynard's seven-year-old daughter Ricki vacationed with Holm's family.
The couple told People magazine that Holm's been looking at apartments and condos to move into so he can be closer to his fiancée and her daughter.
"I have never been more in love or felt more confident about our relationship," Maynard said to People Magazine. "We're so excited about the future and to be back in Charlotte and things are actually happening - looking at places to live and going to school. I'm happier than I've ever been."
