There's a chance that some of the faces fans have gotten used to seeing Salem could soon disappear on Days of Our Lives.

Are These Two Actresses Considering Leaving 'Days of Our Lives'?

According to Soap Opera Digest, all four primetime soaps-ABC's General Hospital, NBC's Days of Our Lives, and CBS' Bold and he Beautiful and Young and the Restless-are now being required to cut down on their overall casts due to network mandates-meaning several smaller characters and actors could be sent packing on all four soaps.

"Insiders say a couple of daytime soaps will be slimming down their top-heavy casts due to network mandates," sources said. "Sources report that a number of actors are concerned that they may wind up on the unemployment lines in coming weeks."

Though General Hospital has by far the largest cast of all the soaps, there are still a lot of people walking around the fictional town of Salem-meaning several people could find themselves let go if NBC requires them to cut down. While it's unclear who could be on the receiving end of those cuts, the following actors could all potentially be on the chopping block:

James Read:

Clyde Weston is possibly one of the least liked characters in Salem (especially since he killed EJ). He hasn't made himself any more welcome with others except for Kate (Lauren Koslow) since then either. Considering he has made a true enemy out of Victor (John Aniston) recently, and he is one step away from causing his stepdaughter to snap, there's a chance his character could soon be off the canvas. And since Chrishell Stause previously confirmed her exit from the soap, it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to assume her stepfather could be going with her.

Robert Scott Wilson:

If his sister and father are going to be leaving the show soon, there's a chance that Abigail's (Kate Mansi) boyfriend could be right behind them. Outside of being involved in a storyline with his on-screen girlfriend, there hasn't been a whole lot for him to do other than interact with his family.

Christopher Sean:

Paul has been in Salem for awhile thanks to his surgery-and the fact that he's Sonny's (Freddie Smith) ex. Unless the storyline involving his attempts to win Sonny back-and his affair with Will (Guy Wilson) takes a new turn that justifies his sticking around Salem for much longer, he could soon be gone.

Lucas Kerr:

Kerr is likely not to be on the chopping block just yet since he only recently debuted on the soap, but if fans don't respond to his character quickly, he could be let go as quickly and abruptly as he appeared.

True O'Brien:

Fans have allegedly not been very impressed with O'Brien as an actress, or Paige as a character. Since her relationship with JJ (Casey Moss) ended, there isn't much use for her in Salem either. Fans can likely look for her to disappear, especially after she realizes JJ cheated on her with her mother, Eve (Kassie DePaiva)

Allison Paige:

Paige's character, Bev, is pretty much only trotted out every so often these days to stir up a few minutes of trouble between JJ and Paige. Since the couple is no longer together, there isn't much need for their antagonizer either.

Kevin Riggin:

Fans haven't liked the character of Rory at all-and there isn't a lot of reason for JJ's pal to be a part of the cast anymore.

While these actors or others could soon find themselves axed from the soap however, there is still a silver lining for fans hoping to see them on-screen. Days is taped approximately six months in advance-meaning any characters being written off now will still be a part of the on-screen drama until at least July.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
