Kate Middleton, who many have speculated is pregnant, reignited these rumors by toasting to the queen with water instead of wine during a state banquet in Singapore on Sept. 11.

Since it is atypical to make a royal toast with anything but a glass of wine, many believe Middleton is a mom-to-be.

One source told The Daily Beast that she is pregnant, but that Prince William and Middleton are planning to hold off on a pregnancy announcement for "as long as possible."

During the dinner, Middleton ignored a glass of white wine that was placed in front of her while her hubby drank the red Bordeaux that was offered during a seven course meal in the Banquet Hall at the home of the Singaporean president.

Friends of the royal couple, according to The Daily Beast, claim it's no secret that Middleton and her husband are actively trying to have a baby. Middleton does not appreciate the constant attention on her body or her pregnancy, but friends said she accepts that it comes with the territory of marrying a future king.

The couple have not been mum on their future family plans.

In their enagagement interview with the UK's ITN, Middleton said, "I hope we will be able to have a happy family ourselves."

The interviewer then asked, "People are bound to ask, do you want lots of children?"

Prince William replied, "I think we'll take it one step at a time. We'll sort of get over the marriage first and then maybe look at the kids. But obviously we want a family so we'll have to start thinking about that."

Additionally, during the Jubilee interview with Katie Couric, the prince said him and Middleton were eager to have kids.

"But I'm just very keen to have a family and both Catherine and I are looking forward to having a family in the future."

Stories that the couple held off getting pregnant for fear of the announcement "overshadowing" the Diamond Jubilee or the Olympics were dismissed by their friend as pure speculation, The Daily Beast reported.
