Tyler, 33, is one of 18 new players competing for the $1 million on the next season of CBS's Survivor. He is an ex-talent agent's assistant, in addition to playing in the NFL as a placekicker. He says on his CBS bio that his personal claim to fame is kicking a game-winning field goal against USC on national television.
With such a dedicated work background, some of his pet peeves include whiners, quitters and people who are apathetic.

Tyler says that he is a similar player to Survivor winner Rob Mariano, a.k.a. Boston Rob, in that "I'm a flirt with a relentless passion to win and will cut my tightest ally at the last minute."
Ultimately, Tyler thinks that his experience at the talent agency is perfect training for playing the game of Survivor.
"Coming from the top agency, I survived - alone - the dragons and snakes, daily. I was dealing with the largest and most insecure egos in town. Everyone was the best, the brightest, and the most beautiful...even when they were not," he explains. "You could abhor them but it was done with a smile so they had no idea. THAT'S SURVIVOR."
He also boasts other accomplishments to explain why he will be the Sole Survivor, which include working at "the top agency in the world," having two masters degrees (from Berkeley and USC) and playing on seven professional football teams.
Survivor: Worlds Apart is slated to begin on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
