Season five of the FX hit series "Sons of Anarchy" debuted with a slew of killings courtesy of Damon Pope. In Tuesday's episode "Authority Vested," SAMCRO must address the outcome of the ordeal.

Although the Pope torched Tig's daughter to death, the club is now number one on his death list. Although he wants to see the outlaw bikers suffer, it looks as though nothing short of horrible deaths will be enough to satisfy his vendetta.

Chibs and Jax have been ducking from the cops after Pope successfully framed them. They must get a Plan b in order before turning themselves into the authorities. Jax tells a couple individuals about the RICO case being held against his club and uses the CIA's need for SAMCRO's guns to gain the protection he needs.

An intoxicated-fueled one-night stand by Gemma seems to be something more serious. Nero embraces Chibs, Jax, and Bobby without asking them to hide out at his residence.

SAMCRO's problems aside, the city of Charming is dealing with an increase in break-in crimes, which included Gemma's home. This does not sit well with her old friend Unser, who gets beat up trying to take matters with the corrupt into his own hands.

The season 5 premiere of the drama had been watched by 5.37 million people, which was enough to make it the most watched episode in the FX drama's history.

FX Networks President and General Manager John Landgraf had made a statement about the show's respective success.

"It's so rare, especially in the current fragmented environment, to see a show grow into its fifth season. The fact that the season five premiere episode is also likely to become FX's highest rated telecast of all time is a testament to the quality of work Kurt Sutter, the writers, directors, cast and crew have done on this extraordinarily ambitious and riveting drama."

In the upcoming "Authority Vested" episode, Jax and Tara make a tough decision about their relationship, while excluding Gemma.

The "Sons of Anarchy" season five episode 2 will be showing on FX at 10 PM ET on Sept. 18th.
