Supernatural's Adam Milligan should stay in hell.

'Supernatural' Season 10 Spoilers: Finale To Be Nerve-Wracking? Writer Teases Upcoming 'Dark' Episode

Jared Padalecki (Sam) doomed the Winchester's half-brother to eternity in the Cage while discussing the Adam (Jake Abel) problem at Creation Entertainment's Salute to Supernatural in Phoenix.

Adam, who was introduced in pseudo-zombie form back in season 4's "Jump the Shark," was resurrected by the angels only to find himself possessed by Michael and locked in the Cage with the devil himself.

While fans have clamored for Adam's return, there are several reasons why writer's are hesitant to bring Abel back into the fold.

When we introduced a third brother, they joked that it was 'jumping the shark,' that it was ruing the show," Padalecki explained, referencing the Happy Days incident that gave the episode its name. "They were like, 'Listen, this could ruin the show, we don't know. We're just going to introduce it and see what happens'... [Now] I think they are concerned that if we brought him back it would really...be kind of poking the bear. So, as much as we like Jake [Abel], it's probably best that Adam stay in hell."
