'The 100' Season 2: Lexa Is 'Genuinely Into Clarke', Jason Rothenberg Talks Context Of Clexa Kiss [VIDEO]
The 100 isn't teasing when it comes to the upcoming Clexa kiss - Clarke and Lexa will defiantly lock lips, and it won't be some sort of ploy.
The Sky Teen and the Grounder are working on a political alliance and the increasing time spent together will cause Lexa to have some newfound feelings for her former enemy.
"I think that Lexa is genuinely into Clarke," series creator Jason Rothenberg told IGN. "She definitely finds her powerful and beautiful and intriguing and someone that she can relate to leader to leader and that's where that probably comes from, all of that emotion. It's certainly real on her part."
However, Rothenberg was quick to remind viewers that they have only seen the kiss, not what comes before or after. As with all promos, the context you don't see is always far more important than you originally think.
"I think that there's not much to say about it other than that the context about it matters quite a bit. I tweeted about that at the time," Rothenberg said, according to IGN (see his Twitter reactions here). "I feel like the things that happen, that lead up to it, and the things that happen after it are just as important as the kiss itself...But, I mean it's genuine, for sure."
