The operational psychologist was a staple in season 1, but Peter Cambor's character has only appeared sporadically over the last five seasons. These infrequent visits look like they will remain the norm as the actor recently teased that there is always a chance Nate will pop up once more.

"Keep watching - you never know!" Cambor said earlier this month.

The good doctor usually pops up after one of Hetty's (Linda Hunt) agents suffers a rather traumatic experience and, while we wish nothing but happy lives for Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Co., one can only hope an agent needs a little extra perspective sometime soon.

Nate already stopped by once in season 6, using "The 3rd Choir" to help Nell (Renee Felice Smith) recover from making her first kill. With Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) heading for trouble in episode 18 and Sam (LL Cool J) and Callen about to realize they have little in common during March 9's "Savoir Faire," perhaps Nate will be called before the finale.
