'Agents Of SHIELD' Season 2: Raina Hits An Inhuman 'Set Back' In Midseason Premiere, What Did She Become? [VIDEO]
Raina will hit a setback when Agents of SHIELD returns with its midseason premiere.
Desperate to discover her true identity, Raina (Ruth Negga) spent a season and a half trying to unleash her Inhuman side. When the terrigen mist dissipated however, the girl in the flower dress became something other than her ambitious desires.
Comic book illustrator Gabriele Dell'Otto revealed a version of the series' new Raina last week (see image here Entertainment Weekly), giving viewers a look at a rather reptilian creature. Giving Raina's oft coldblooded demeanor, this interpretation of the Inhuman's new life seems rather fitting.
"Raina's a character who seems to have gotten everything she every wanted through the first season-and-a-half," executive producer Jeffery Bell explained to ComicBook.com. "She successfully manipulated or moved everyone quietly, efficiently to get what she wanted. When she finally got what she wanted, it turned out to be that, which wasn't what she wanted. So we thought it was interesting to take a character who sorta had always succeeded and giving them an apparent setback and see how the character reacts in those situations."
Will Raina change her nature and choose to help SHIELD, or will she continue to work toward her own goals? Find out when Agents of SHIELD returns to ABC on March 3 at 9 p.m. ET with "Aftershocks."
