Lowe went from being The Bachelor to competing on Dancing With the Stars over the course of a few months back in 2013. Now, there are rumors that current Bachelor Soules is doing the same thing and competing on Dancing With the Stars this spring.

Amid these rumors, Lowe took to his blog to share some advice to Soules.

"In retrospect, the time commitment I made to the show - immediately after getting down on one knee in Thailand - was unfair to Catherine [Giudici]," Lowe admitted. "I had just promised to spend my life with her and then - boom! - I left her all alone all day in an unfamiliar city. If you've read my book, you know that my time on DWTS wasn't easy. Mainly, I didn't realize the time commitment. Naively, I thought I would be rehearsing for two or three hours a day. Little did I know I would be rehearsing twelve hours a day, seven days a week. I didn't realize how hard this would be on my new fiancée."

He warned Soules that he should "be careful" when choosing the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with, as Dancing With the Stars is a big commitment that requires patience.

"You have a once in a lifetime opportunity with Dancing with the Stars - it's good money that could go towards starting a life together," Lowe shared. "But never forgot that your new fiancée will be in a new, unfamiliar city and she's left her family, friends and job behind to be near you. It's an honor and a responsibility."

Lowe came in sixth place during season 16 of Dancing With the Stars, so it remains to be seen if Soules will possibly do even better.

Dancing With the Stars begins Monday, March 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
