'The 100' Season 2 Finale: EP Dishes On The Shocking City Of Light Reveal, Whats Next For Jaha & Murphy [VIDEO]
The 100's season 2 finale threw out twists and turns like they were party favors, but nothing had viewers quite as floored as the City of Light reveal.
Jaha set out to find a divine place of safety for his people, but instead the former chancellor found the very thing that wrecked the planet 97 years ago (and the last bachelor pad on Earth). As you digest that irony, series creator Jason Rothenberg explains what's next for Jaha and Murphy, particularly they have two separate pieces of information regarding Alie.
"Yes, they have very separate pieces of the puzzle. As of now, that was by design. We wanted to tell a whole story but have the characters not know the whole story," Rothenberg told E! Online. "Certainly, we haven't even told close to the whole story yet but there's enough for the audience to piece together that the A.I. is the thing that ultimately ended the world even though Jaha and Murphy don't know that yet. You can assume as they go forward, they will figure things out and the questions are: Will Jaha come to look at Alie as the divine thing that he's been looking for?"
In addition, it looks like Alie may be looking for more explosives.
"There are bread crumbs there, and you could certainly say, 'Oh god, she's got another nuke and she says, 'We've got work to do,' that could be really bad!'" Rothenberg teased, not ruling out the possibility of another bomb.
To find out more, viewers are going to have to wait until season 3. For now, all we can do is worry about a killer like Murphy hanging around with an apocalypse machine.
