Kalf (Ben Robson) usurped her lands and her men while she helped settle lands in Wessex, and the powerful shieldmaiden was unable to regain her claim in "Usurper." With Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) heading to Paris to quench his thirst for exploration, it looks like Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) will have to fight this battle on her own.
Not that she's incapable of that - we're fairly certain Winnick's character could rearrange the universe if she wanted to. Instead, it just presents another challenge for the warrior.

"I like it because [creator] Michael [Hirst] doesn't allow me to get comfortable," Winnick informed Zap2It. "With my character you never know what you're going to get. You never know how Lagertha is going to react. Each time you think she's safe or finally in a position of happiness or strength, you find out that she isn't."
