‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Details On Rebecca Budig’s Role & What Jake’s ‘Wife’ Means For Him & Elizabeth [PHOTO]
She was the obstacle no one expected would show up in Port Charles, but now, the possibility that 'Jake Doe' (Billy Miller) is married on General Hospital could shake things up drastically.
Jake (who has no idea he is really Jason Morgan), was finally able to have the chance he wanted with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), after she ended her relationship with Ric (Rick Hearst) for good. But as the two prepared to continue celebrating their new romance and possibly cementing their new status as a couple in the bedroom, they were interrupted by a surprising visitor on Liz's doorstep-a woman (Rebecca Budig) claiming to be Jake's wife.
Now, not only will her arrival put an immediate halt to any romance Elizabeth and Jake share, it could delay the truth about his real identity even more-meaning it will be a while before anyone truly does realize he is Jason Morgan.
However, fans know for a fact that Budig's character is in fact not Jake's wife, because if he were to remember any of his life from beforehand, he would know that his wife is actually Sam (Kelly Monaco)-meaning that this new character is one who actually has some kind of ulterior motive.
When Elizabeth ended things with Ric, he warned it wasn't over and made a pact to himself that he wouldn't give up on her. Considering his occasional shady actions in the past, and the fact that he certainly doesn't want Jake to wind up with the woman he loves, he may have hired and paid this new woman (named Bailey) to pose as Jake's wife, with the ultimate goal being to break up Liz and Jake and for good-and forcing Liz to run back to Ric once again.
General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
