Cardinals vs. Rams Live Stream, Thursday Night Football Watch Online 8:20 PM ET
The Week 5 edition of "Thursday Night Football" will feature the undefeated Arizona Cardinals (4-0) going up against the .500 St. Louis Rams (2-2). The game will be intriguing to many, as Arizona looks to continue its impressive season.
For the Cardinals to further extend their impressive run, QB Kevin Kolb will need to utilize wide receiver threats Larry Fitzgerald and waiver-wire acquisition Andre Roberts. The team must also improve their running game behind the struggling Ryan Williams, who is averaging below three yards per carry.
On the offensive side for the Rams, QB Sam Bradford must effectively use his workhorse running back Steven Jackson and the rush in order to take the pressure off his passing game.
The majority factor of the matchup was supposed to lay on each team's defense. However, Arizona's offense has silenced the team's initial scoring concerns by putting up 20-plus points in their first four games this season.
Nonetheless, the St. Louis defense has always been considered an underrated unit. The Rams have only four interceptions up until this point, but have recovered six fumbles.
On a positive note, the St. Louis's defenders should receive an instant upgrade if first-round draft pick Michael Brockers shows up at 100 percent. The rookie defensive tackle only played partially in Week 4, but continues to build up the strength needed to perform after suffering an ankle sprain.
National television fans will also get to witness one of the NFL's best stories thus far: record-breaking Rams kicker Greg "Young G.Z." Zuerlein. In St. Louis' 19-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3, the rookie actually broke the all-time distance field goal record twice in the same game with a 58-yard kick and then a 60-yarder.
