Unlike the Battle Rounds, each coach will only be allowed to save one ousted musician during the Knockouts. Like the previous round, team members will pair up in two-person face offs. The NBC series saw a brief hiccup when Anthony Riley spontaneously dropped out of the running, but Parrell Williams resolved the issue by having a three-person knockout wherein two performers were saved while one was sent packing.
Team Pharrell's Paul Pfau, Sawyer Fredricks, and Mia Z participated in this three-way melee, choosing to perform I Don't Need No Doctor, Collide and Hold On, I'm Coming, respectfully. Unfortunately for Pfau, his teammates out performed him and no one stepped up to keep him on the show. In the last matchup on the night, Williams saved Koryn Hawthorn of Team Christina Aguilera.

Team Adam Levine also only had one matchup on Monday. Nathan Hermida and Clinton Washington gave their rendition of Leave Your Lover and Wanted, a performance which lead to Washington's departure. The Maroon 5 frontman later chose to save Brian Johnson of Team Blake Shelton based on his version of Nothing Ever Hurt Like You.
Meanwhile, Shelton chose to keep Sarah Ptenza and Meghan Linsey while ousting Travis Ewing. Aguilera then kept Kimberly Nichole and Sonic.
