The Primetime Emmy award-winning masterpiece "Downton Abbey" has continued to garner the attention of millions of viewers worldwide. Currently in its third season, the program's U.K. network has released the details on its fifth episode of the British/American period television series.

ITV had put out the following information on the respective episode, which will air in the United Kingdom on Oct.14:

"An exciting offer for Edith divides opinion ... Isobel throws Ethel a lifeline ... New maid Ivy is attracting attention below stairs, and Alfred's interest in particular is resented by Daisy ... Anna's perseverance finally pays off. Matthew's concerns about the estate grow but are his protests falling on deaf ears?"

Halfway through its third season, the show continues raising the bar of high-quality television programming week after week. One of the program's newest cast members is "War Horse's" Matt Milne, who has come on board to don the role of the romantic Alfred, with whom Lady's maid Miss Reid (Lucille Sharp) becomes smitten with the actor's character.

Milne spoke to Digital Spy on Oct. 5 about how privileged he felt working with the "Downton Abbey" cast.

"I think it says a lot about the rest of the cast, they've built up a real family over the last two years, but they've really accepted me and the other new cast members into their working group. It says a lot about them about them about how accepting they have been and I'm really grateful for that."

The talented actor also praised the cast for both their professionalism and hard work.

"There's no jumped-up people whatsoever. It's great to learn from that because you see that's how the big boys like Hugh Bonneville and Dame Maggie Smith do it and I've learned from that."

"Downton Abbey" aside, Milne is currently starring in "The Hotel Plays" by Tennessee Williams. It will be showing until Oct 27 at the Grange Holborn Hotel in London. The reputable production revolves around three different plays that take place in three separate hotel suites.
