'Hannibal' Season 3: 'Mizumono' Director Returns For Finale, No Guillermo del Toro [VIDEO]
Hannibal will welcome back "Mizumono" director Michael Rymer to helm the season 3 finale.
Rymer's bloody season 2 capstone left viewers gaping at their screens in disbelief, and it sounds like the season 3 finale will do much the same. The NBC psychological thriller has yet to announce a title for the 13th episode, but the De Laurentiis Company dropped a few teasers on Tuesday.
"It may be hard to top last season's finale, but we can promise you a conclusion you won't soon forget!" Martha De Laurentiis, Hannibal executive producer, wrote in the production companies April newsletter.

Guillermo Navarro ("Roti," "Trou Normand") will return to direct the season's penultimate episode while Vincenzo Natali will handle the premiere.
The newsletter erroneously named Guillermo del Toro as an upcoming director, but the announcement was quickly recanted.
"OUR MISTAKE! We are sorry and disappointed to confirm that the information concerning Guillermo Del Toro directing an episode in Hannibal Season 3 is incorrect," the De Laurentiis Co. confirmed on Facebook. "We are sorry to have disappointed anyone. Whereas we would love to have Guillermo Del Toro direct an episode, his schedule simply did not allow for that this season. Again, our most sincere apologies."
