The Voice contestants took the stage on Monday evening for the first round of the Live Playoffs.

The first installment of the three-night event, Monday's episode put team Blake Shelton and team Pharrell Williams on the chopping block. In the wake of the Battle Rounds, each team has five contestants remaining but after the live playoffs, the number will be knocked down to three.

Each contestant will have the chance to be saved by public vote (two members per team), by their coach (one member per team), the public's instant save, or by gaining extra voter points by landing their latest song on the iTunes top 10.

For Team Blake, Sarah Potenza performed Free Bird, Hannah Kirby chose to take on I Feel the Earth Move, Corey Kent White went with Make You Feel My Love, Brooke Adee sang Love Me Like You Do, and Meghan Linsey gave her rendition of Love Runs Out.

Meanwhile, Team Pharrell's Caitlin Caporale performed Best Thing I Never Had, Lowell Oakley sang Jealous, Mia Z gave her rendition of Ain't No Sunshine, Koryn Hawthorne tried her hand at How Great Thou Art, and Sawyer Fredericks took on Trouble.
