'Castle' Season 7 Spoilers: Rick & Kate Investigate 'Saturday Night Live' Inspired World With Jaleel White [VIDEO]
Jaleel White and Carly Rae Jepsen will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of ABC's Castle that parodies NBC's classic sketch show Saturday Night Live.

Jepsen will play herself in the episode, which is titled Dead from New York, according to Entertainment Weekly. The Call Me Maybe singer recently appeared as the musical guest on the real Saturday Night Live. Meanwhile, White is set to play the star of the sketch show, titled Saturday Night Tonight.
The episode involves Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) investigating the murder of Sid Ross, the creator of the sketch show. He will likely be modeled after Lorne Michaels, the longtime producer of Saturday Night Live.

As with many episodes of Castle, the dynamic duo discovers a "shocking secret" surrounding the victim's death.
Dead from New York will be the 22nd episode of the current season.
With a little over a month left in Castle's seventh season, there is still uncertainty as far as the show's potential to be renewed. Fillion and Katic's costar Seamus Dever, who plays Ryan on the series, spoke with TVLine in late March and said he still had no idea what was going on with the show's status.
"It's been weird. The last five months have been limbo," Dever said. "I don't know [what's] going to happen, and, to be honest, no one has talked to me ... about next season. I'd like to have some answers because my family wants to know if I'm going to be employed. But right now it's really up in the air."
Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
