Even a seasoned actress like Sissy Spacek was scared during the filming of the new Netflix series Bloodline.

Which 'Bloodline' Stars Will Receive Emmy Nominations?

Spacek, who plays Sally Rayburn, the matriarch of a troubled family living in the Florida Keys in the series, spoke with The Telegraph recently about the show. The 65-year-old actress admitted that the show's writers hadn't even finished writing the season until moments before the final scenes.

"It scared me and it thrilled me," Spacek said. "It's like you're always trying to find your trail. We don't know what's going to happen because I don't even think they (series creators Todd A Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman) know what's going to happen. They watch what we're doing and say, 'Okay, let's follow that.' And creatively, I respect that so much. The train is coming, and you're either going to be flattened or carried away."

This is one of Spacek's first big forays into television, as she is primarily a movie actress. She said that she watched the AMC show Breaking Bad and was very taken by it, saying that it made her "take note of this new template" for telling a story on television.

Netflix has become the primary force into the new trend of binge-watching television, with the streaming site uploading episodes of new seasons of their original programming all at the same time. This allows users to watch shows at their own pace, rather than wait a week for a new episode like traditional television.

Meanwhile, Bloodline has been renewed for a second season, which Spacek will likely be a part of.

Bloodline season 1 is currently available to stream on Netflix.
