The quest for the NASCAR Sprint Cup resumes this weekend with the Bank of America 500 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina on Saturday night. The current standings look fairly tight with Brad Keselowski and the #5 driver Clint Bowyer only separated by 40 points. As the race in Talladega proved on Sunday, the BOA 500 should vastly impact the rankings, which will most certainly keep the competing drivers on edge.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon both saw their positions in the race drastically change after Sunday. Despite suffering a concussion, Earnhardt still managed to increase his spot by four rankings and Gordon moved down by the same amount.

The situation at Talladega was a less than ideal due one, as a major wreck had insinuated due to Tony Stewart's car in the final lap.

While it won't majorly affect the Chase for the Championship, Kurt Busch will be switching his car to drive for Furniture Row Racing. Also, Regan Smith will come on to step into car 88 for Earnhardt Jr. in the next two races. The BOA 500 will also showcase the return of A.J. Almender, who will drive Kurt Busch's old Pheonix Racing car.
