Robert Herjavec Or Chris Soules Eliminated Next Week on 'Dancing With the Stars'?

With Dobrev leaving The Vampire Diaries this year she is looking for more career opportunities, and according to HollywoodLife.com, she could be on the dance competition show.

"Nina has been asked by both Julianne and Derek to join the show," a source reportedly told the site. "And if she does it next season Derek will be her partner. And Nina is really considering it. If she doesn't have a job by the fall she will do it."

'Dancing With the Stars' Team Dances Revealed

Dobrev and Derek supposedly dated in the past, but this has not been confirmed by either party.

Regardless, Dobrev on Dancing With the Stars could turn into a success endeavor for the star, considering she would have a huge fanbase from The Vampire Diaries. Plus, if she really were to be partnered up with Derek it would only benefit her considering his great track record.

For the time being, Dobrev, Derek and Julianne have not commented on the rumors.

Derek is currently paired up with Olympian Nastia Liukin. The pair have become one of the frontrunners in the competition this season, alongside Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy, Riker Lynch and Allison Holker and Willow Shields and Mark Ballas.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
