The finale frames of "Vanessa Cruz" left viewers with their hearts in their throats as Red's world turned even more bloody than normal. Shot and seemingly incapacitated by the wound, Red will count on Dembe to pull out the team's "break glass in case of emergency" plans.
"Liz and Dembe are under fire, and Red is wounded in an incredibly desperate situation," executive producer Jon Bokenkamp informed Entertainment Weekly. "We're going to see the contingencies that Red has in place for this type of situation."
New photos for "Leonard Caul" indicate that the FBI and Dembe will move their injured comrade to a secluded warehouse operating room, allowing him to recover far from the prying eyes of the Alliance. As with all the best laid plans, all will not go entirely to script as some incident will leave at least two bodies outside Red's sterile tent.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly reports that Liz will turn to someone from her past for help. While Tom will be in the episode, he is not who Bokenkamp is referring to. Could it be Mr. Kaplan? The fixer appears beside Red's bedside in photos, but it is unknown if she is there courtesy of Red's plans of Liz's quick thinking.
