'The 100' Season 3: Lexa's Coalition To Collapse? Jason Rothenberg Previews Expanding World [VIDEO]
The 100 is getting ready to widen the post-apocalyptic world.
'The 100' Season 3: Does Lexa Need Redemption? Writer's Talk Grounder's Next Moves
As Lexa knows, the Woods Clan is far from the only group of survivors roaming around North America, and it sounds like viewers will become more acquainted with the Grounder's allies as season 3 kicks off.
"We will always continuously change this world, build this world out," series creator Jason Rothenberg teased, according to Buddy TV. "We're talking about a whole planet that experienced that 97 years ago and has been changed as a result of it. I love the idea of continuing to sort of broaden our horizons, see new environments and meet new groups of characters and begin to explain what happened in the first place 97 years ago?"
'The 100' Season 3: Will We Ever Meet Luna? Mysterious Grounder's Fate Uncertain
Luna of the Boat Clan may make her first appearance and Echo, who is from the Ice Nation, may also return. Those two clans were part of Lexa's anti-Mount Weather alliance but, now that the Mountain Men are out of the picture, that coalition may soon come crumbling down.
"Everybody's going to know what happened," Rothenberg explained. "And of course, that's going to be mutually not only problematic for Lexa, because suddenly this great enemy that they had that's still out there that was going to hold her coalition together is gone. What happens to her coalition? We're going to play with that hugely in Season 3."
