'Agents of SHIELD' Season 2: Post 'Avengers 2' Plot Revealed, Skye Must Choose A Side
Director Coulson's (Clark Gregg) team naively believed SHIELD was on the way to a successful new beginning. As the underground agency celebrated the takedown of numerous HYDRA heads, the Inhumans and the real SHIELD popped out of the woodwork to leave May (Ming-Na Wen), Fitz (Iain DeCaestecker), Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki), and Skye (Chloe Bennet) to question their loyalties. The agents will have to make some tough choices on May 12.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. puts everything on the line to survive a war that blurs the line between friend and foe. Coulson and his team will be forced to make shocking sacrifices that will leave their relationships and their world changed forever," ABC teased.
Season 1 left Coulson's original team with a Pyrrhic victory, and executive producer Jeffrey Bell warns that the impending finale could be just as devastating.
"Whether that ends up with a big group hug or bodies everywhere is to be determined," Bell told TV Guide.
