The former turncoat and his ex-wife have an intensely complicated relationship, one that is only starting to shed its ever-present veil of secrecy. As these walls of lies come tumbling down, however, Tom would like to go on a nice, normal date with the woman he has clearly grown to care about.
"I think Tom Keen would like nothing more than to go on a date and have a glass of wine and have a nice, normal conversation," series creator Jon Bokenkamp teased, according to TV Guide. "She recognizes how screwed up he is and unhealthy he is for her, and yet there's something within him that perhaps she thinks is a glimmer of hope."
Normalcy isn't really Liz's forte, unfortunately. As soon as Tom's confession came tumbling out, Red took a bullet to the chest. It seems the pair's romance will have to take a backseat to Red's pressing injury, at least during "Leonard Caul."
