The Dehli Daredevils will aim to consolidate their spot in the points table when they face off against the Auckland Aces in a critical Group A matchup of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament. After a four day layoff, the Daredevils are looking to continue their momentum after an opening victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders. On the other hand, the Aces are coming off of a tough loss to the Nashua Titans on Thursday night and are approaching the game with retribution on their minds.

Nonetheless, Dehli's potent batting order will pose a large threat to Auckland's hopes. Kevin Pietersen, Ross Taylor, Virender Sehwag along with skipper Mahela Jayawardene are among the dangerous batsmen that will be present at the top of the Dehli order.

Equally skilled is the Daredevils bowling attack. With the bouncy conditions of the South African field, the core of Irfan Pathan, Morne Morkel, Umesh Yadav and Ajit Agarkar should have more of an advantage with their pace attack.

Auckland was plagued by inconsistency in their 59 run loss to the Titans on Wednesday. Up until their defeat, the Aces were playing fairly well winning both of their qualifying matchups, which included seven wickets against KKR.
