The Voice's Team Blake Shelton took a major hit in Tuesday's eliminations.

It had to happen sooner or later - the mighty Team Blake finally felt the sting of the live shows as voters opted to eliminate two of Shelton's competitors. The country star was forced to bid farewell to Hannah Kirby and Corey Kent White as season 8's field was whittled down to the Top 6.

Following Monday's performances, each singing hopeful had a chance to be saved by the public's vote, the Instant Save, or by boosting their score with the iTunes bonus. Unfortunately for Kirby and White, none of these saving graces came their way.

The pair's renditions of When I See You Smile and We Don't Need Another Hero landed in the bottom three with Team Christina Aguilera's India Carney. Carney managed to win her way into the Top 6 with her Instant Save performance of Human, besting White's rendition of Somebody Like You and Kirby's version of Radioactive.

Tuesday's results left Team's Pharrell Williams and Adam Levine much happier than past weeks. Not only were none of their competitors relegated to the bottom three, but Levine's Joshua Davis and William's Sawyer Fredericks both received the iTunes bonus.
